Who we are
This website is operated by Impulse Data (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at contact@impulsedatalabs.com.
What we collect
When you register your interest, we collect only what you type or select on the form:
- Your full name and email address.
- Your confirmation that you are 18 or older, live in the United States, and have original PDF lab reports that are your own.
- Roughly how many PDF reports you have, as a range.
- Optionally, which lab or healthcare provider produced your reports.
- Your acknowledgment of the draft participation agreement and the version you saw.
- Your permission for us to contact you, and the date and time you registered.
We do not collect lab reports, test results, diagnoses, identity documents, or payment details at this stage.
We also record basic, anonymous usage data so we can see how the registration form is working: the page viewed, the form step reached, the site that referred you, and a source tag if you arrived from one of our posts. This uses a random identifier that exists only for your visit. It is not stored in a cookie, is not linked to your name or email, and does not include your IP address. We do not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies on this website.
Why we collect it
- To email you when the paid study launches and to send updates about participation.
- To estimate how many reports the study may receive, so we can plan review capacity and payment.
- To keep a record of what you acknowledged, so we can show you the final terms and any changes.
We use your information only for these purposes. We do not sell it, share it for advertising, or use it to make decisions that affect your healthcare.
Who can see it
Your registration is stored in a database that only authorized members of the study team can access. Our hosting provider stores the data on our behalf and may not use it for its own purposes. We do not share registrations with research partners; if the study launches, sharing of any data will be governed by the separate participation agreement you review at that time.
We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of participants or the study team.
How long we keep it
We keep your registration until the study launches and you decide whether to participate, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. If the study does not go ahead, we delete the registration list.
Your choices
- Withdraw at any time. Email us at contact@impulsedatalabs.com and we will delete your registration and stop contacting you. Registering interest creates no obligation on you.
- See what we hold. You can ask for a copy of the information we have about you.
- Correct it. If your name or email changes, tell us and we will update it.
We will respond to these requests within 30 days, and we will not treat you differently for making one.
Security
Registrations are sent over an encrypted connection and stored with access limited to the study team. No system is perfectly secure, so we collect as little as possible and keep it only as long as needed.
Children
This website is for adults aged 18 and older in the United States. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has registered, contact us and we will delete the registration.
Residents of Washington, Nevada, and Connecticut
Some states treat information that can indicate a person’s health as consumer health data. Your registration tells us that you have medical lab reports, which may qualify. We collect that information only with your consent, use it only for the purposes above, and do not sell it or share it for advertising. You may withdraw consent and request deletion at any time using the contact details above. If we do not resolve a request to your satisfaction, you may contact your state attorney general.
California residents
You have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in California law. To make a request, use the contact details above.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle registration information, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects how we use information you have already given us, we will email you before it takes effect.
